Sonny Nguyen, P.E. is a seasoned professional in the field of electrical engineering with a strong focus on transmission and interconnection. Currently serving as Vice President, Transmission and Interconnection at Cubico Sustainable Investments since November 2024, Sonny has previously held significant roles such as Director, Transmission and Interconnection at Vesper Energy and Manager of Transmission at Urban Grid Solar. With a robust background that includes positions as Transmission and Interconnection Engineer at Plus Power and Transmission Planning Engineer at Oncor Electric Delivery, Sonny has extensive experience in interconnection processes, steady-state studies, and NERC compliance. Sonny began the career as an Electrical Engineer Intern at Arizona Public Service, following a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
