Riad S. Wahby

Riad S. Wahby has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Riad is currently the Co-founder & CEO of Cubist, a position they have held since May 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Faculty of ECE at Carnegie Mellon University starting July 2021. From July 2021 to April 2022, they worked as a Cryptography researcher at Algorand. Riad also pursued a PHD at Stanford University from September 2015 to September 2021. Riad began their career as a Junior Research Scientist at New York University from January 2014 to September 2015. Prior to that, they were a Staff Engineer at Silicon Laboratories, Inc. starting in June 2004 and ending in January 2014. Riad also worked as a Visiting Scholar at The University of Texas at Austin from September 2013 to December 2013.

Riad S. Wahby has a strong educational background in the field of Computer Science. Riad obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science from Stanford University, completing their studies from 2015 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in EE/CS from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2002 to 2004. Riad'sundergraduate studies were also completed at MIT, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (SB) degree in EE/CS from 1998 to 2002.
