Tim Schmidt

Tim Schmidt is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media and journalism. Currently serving as the Communications/Media Specialist at Cuivre River Electric Cooperative since April 2017, Tim is responsible for internal and external content creation, including press releases, website updates, and social media management, while also overseeing youth leadership programs. Prior to this role, Tim was the Publisher/General Manager at Lincoln County Journal/Newstime, managing three weekly newspapers and a staff of 12-15 employees. Tim's editorial expertise was honed during a long tenure at Warren County Record, first as a sports editor and later as Managing Editor, where all editorial functions were under Tim's oversight. Additional experience includes a position as General Manager at Louisiana Press-Journal, where Tim managed operations and revenue goals. Tim holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications with a Journalism emphasis from Culver-Stockton College.
