Casey Frankenberger has a diverse work experience in the field of bioinformatics and genomics. They currently hold the position of Senior Vice President, Head of Data at Culmination Bio, where they focus on unlocking biological data and integrating it with clinical and genomic data to improve healthcare experiences. Prior to this, they served as the VP of Business Development, Americas at C2i Genomics, contributing to the development of a cancer treatment intelligence platform. They were also the Chief Research Informatics Officer at Rush University Medical Center, leading initiatives in translational research and clinical informatics. Additionally, Casey worked as the Director of Computational Biology, Clinical Translation at Tempus, Inc., where they played a key role in developing a reporting engine and knowledge graphs for NGS features. They have also held positions as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Ben-May Department for Cancer Research - University of Chicago, a Doctoral Trainee at the Biochemistry Department - Rush University Medical Center, and a Research Assistant at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). They began their career as a Lab Technician Internship at Tibotec-Virco NV, where they focused on protein binding assays.
Casey Frankenberger earned a Bachelor's degree from Indiana University Bloomington in the years 1991-1996. Following this, Casey pursued a PhD in Biochemistry from RUSH University from 2004 to 2010.
