Bari Nixon

Bari Nixon currently serves as the Director of Special Education for Culpeper County Public Schools since July 2024, following a tenure in the same role at Staunton City Schools. Prior experience includes leading secondary special education at Redmond School District and serving as Special Education Supervisor and Coordinator at New Kent County Public Schools. Bari Nixon has also worked at the VCU Autism Center for Excellence as an Online Course Facilitator and held instructional coaching roles at Powhatan County Public Schools, along with various positions in Richmond Public Schools and Henrico County School District. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of New England and a Bachelor's degree in Justice and Policy Studies from Guilford College.
