Matthew Steele

Mat Steele is a seasoned software engineer currently employed at Cultivo since February 2023. Previous experience includes roles as a Senior Full Stack Engineer and Full Stack Engineer at Elementus from April 2020 to July 2022, and as a Blockchain Engineer at Genus Development Partners from December 2016 to October 2019, where Mat contributed to developing a real estate blockchain platform. Mat also served as an Urban and GIS Specialist at the World Bank from August 2014 to July 2016, managing urban planning technical assistance for major cities in Indonesia. Additional roles include Associate at BAE Urban Economics, Wharton Social Impact Fellow at The Reinvestment Fund, Finance and Policy Analyst at Calvert Foundation, and Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania. Mat holds multiple degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, including a Master’s in Data Science and Public Private Real Estate Development, along with a data science credential from Metis.
