Bec Paton

Bec Paton is a seasoned design professional currently serving as Chief Designer and VP of Design at Culture Amp since October 2024. Previously, Paton held key positions at Roblox, progressing from Director to Senior Director of Product Design & Research from July 2022 to October 2024, and was the Head of Design for AWS CX at Amazon from November 2020 to June 2022. Additional experience includes a role as Product Design Manager at Meta focused on privacy, and Senior CX Manager at Westpac. Paton founded Equilibrium Design in Sydney, where a tenure as Director lasted from 2011 to 2018, alongside teaching design courses as an Academic Lecturer at the University of Technology, Sydney. Early career steps included Senior Designer positions at MAXCO and Freestyle Design, and Mid-Weight Designer at Allen & Unwin. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Economics from The Australian National University, a Master's in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul University, a PhD in Design from the University of Technology Sydney, and a Bachelor's in Graphic Design from the University of Canberra.
