Paula Amezola de Herrera

Paula Amezola De Herrera, MPH, is a seasoned public health professional with a robust background in consulting, education, and community engagement. As the owner of First Gen Legacy since January 2016, Paula provides public health consulting services including program evaluation, advocacy, and career coaching. Serving as the President of the Board of Education for Culver City Unified School District since December 2020, Paula also previously founded Public Health Career Services at the Keck School of Medicine, successfully supporting graduate students' transitions into public health careers. Experience includes public appointments and leadership roles with the State of California and Culver City, where Paula has led initiatives focusing on education standards, community safety, and recreational accessibility. With a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from UCLA and a Bachelor's Degree in Genetics from UC Davis, Paula combines academic expertise with extensive practical experience to influence public health policies and practices.
