Eric Bracy

Eric Bracy currently serves as the Superintendent of Cumberland County Schools, a position held since July 2025. Prior to this role, Bracy was the Superintendent of Johnston County Public Schools from July 2020 to June 2025 and the Superintendent of Sampson County Schools from February 2014 to June 2020. Bracy has extensive experience in educational leadership, having also served as the Superintendent of Northampton County Schools from July 2008 to January 2014 and as the Executive Director of Student Support Services and Principal at Durham Public Schools and Vance County Schools, respectively. Bracy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from North Carolina Central University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Virginia State University, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
