John Grimm

John Grimm has over 15 years of work experience in the software engineering and development field. John is currently working at Cummings Aerospace as the Program Director, a role they started in January 2022. Prior to that, they were a Principal Software Engineer at Cummings Aerospace from March 2020 to January 2022.

Before joining Cummings Aerospace, John worked at RGNext as a Principal Software Engineer from April 2017 to March 2020.

From May 2015 to April 2017, John was a Senior Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation. John was responsible for developing software solutions, evaluating analysis and problem areas, and documenting and demonstrating solutions.

John has also worked at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company as a Senior Software Engineer from 2009 to 2015. In this role, they were involved in software design and development for the MEADS system, served as the subsystem lead for IT security, and performed system installation and security hardening for various platforms.

Prior to their time at Lockheed Martin, John worked at 822 Media LLC and Activv as a Web Developer/Programmer. John managed various web projects, wrote PHP and MySQL code, and implemented ZIP Code verification scripts to enhance usability.

In addition, John worked at Sun Key Publishing as a Programmer/Developer, specializing in web development and design using PHP, MySQL, and PERL. John also implemented ZIP Code verification scripts for improved accuracy in online applications.

Earlier in their career, John was a Programmer/MIS at JIT Services LLC, where they developed and maintained a proprietary warehouse management system and provided software development and database support.

Before entering the software industry, John worked as an Interpreter/Engineering Assistant at Topre America Corporation, a Japanese steel stamping company, where they assisted the engineering department and served as an interpreter for the press and die maintenance groups.

John Grimm attended The University of Alabama in Huntsville from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering. In January 2014, they also received a certification in Security+ from CompTIA.
