Randy Rene (CISSP PMP DAWIA)

Randy Rene has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Randy currently holds the position of Radar Senior Network Security Engineer at Cummings Aerospace. Prior to that, they worked as an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) at the same company.

Before joining Cummings Aerospace, Randy worked at Integrits Corporation as a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer. In this role, they provided systems engineering and technical assistance to the US Navy Cybersecurity Program Office. Randy had a strong technical background and led a team of engineers, handling various phases of the System Development Lifecycle. Randy also played a crucial role in modernization efforts within the Navy, collaborating with various defense departments and agencies.

Their earlier experience includes working as a Senior Information Systems Security Engineer/Analyst Team Lead at Secure Mission Solutions. Here, they were responsible for ensuring the security posture of the Army Knowledge Online portal. Randy also served in the US Navy as an IA Analyst, where they established a comprehensive cybersecurity program for the Navy's Deployable Joint Command and Control System (DJC2).

Overall, Randy Rene has gained extensive experience and expertise in cybersecurity, particularly in areas such as system engineering, technical assistance, vulnerability reporting, information assurance management, and security engineering.

Randy Rene began their education journey in 2000 at the University of Phoenix, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems. Randy completed their studies in 2002.

After a few years, Randy Rene returned to further their education and enrolled at the University of Fairfax in 2009. Randy pursued a Master's degree in Information Security Management and successfully completed the program in 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Randy Rene also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. In November 2010, they received the CISSP certification from ISC2. Later, in July 2013, Randy Rene obtained the CNSS 4011: Information Systems Security Professional and CNSS 4012: Senior Systems Manager certifications from the NSA. Lastly, in November 2017, they achieved the Program Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
