Shane Cranford P.e.

Shane Cranford, P.E. has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Shane started their career as an Electrical Engineer at Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc., where they gained experience in various projects such as government, aviation, water/waste water, lite rail, data center, and office buildings. During this time, they also obtained security clearances for FBI Headquarters and aviation projects post-911.

After working at Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc., Shane joined Meinhardt as an Associate, where they worked until 2010.

From 2010 to 2016, Shane worked for Cummings Electrical as a Pre-Construction Manager, where they provided conceptual estimating, conceptual design, and cost reduction ideas. In 2016, they were promoted to Chief Engineer, responsible for managing the Engineering Department. Shane'sduties included coordination, arc-flash and short-circuit studies, design-build, design-assist, engineering/constructability review, value engineering, code review, conceptual design for budgeting, and construction support. Some notable projects they worked on include Children's Medical Center Dallas and Plano, Medical City Dallas EPSS, Cook Children's South Tower and Central Plant, Methodist Dallas, Methodist Richardson, Confidential Data Centers, Confidential Government Buildings, and Manufacturing/Industrial Facilities.

Currently, Shane holds the position of VP of Engineering at Cummings Electrical, starting in 2023.

Shane Cranford, P.E. obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas. Shane attended the university from 1996 to 2001. Additionally, they acquired the certification of Licensed Professional Engineer from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in May 2005.
