Gary Keffer

Gary Keffer, Jr., CSP, M.Eng. serves as Director of Health, Safety, and Environmental at Cummins Inc. since September 2017. Previously, Gary held the position of Director of Corporate Health and Safety at American Municipal Power, Inc. from February 2013 to September 2017, where responsibilities included planning and evaluating safety activities across multiple facilities. Prior to that, Gary worked at American Electric Power from July 2006 to February 2013 in various roles, including Manager of ESH Management Systems II. Gary's earlier experience includes ESH Coordinator positions at Advanced Bearing Materials and Miba Bearings US, LLC. Academic qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Advanced Safety Engineering and Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a Bachelor's degree in Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health from the University of Connecticut, and an Associate degree in Environmental Resource Management from Muskingum Area Technical College.
