Smita Ghosh, Ph.D., is a Senior Chemical System Engineer and Catalyst Technologist currently employed at Cummins Inc. They have extensive experience in atomistic modeling of heterogeneous metal catalysts using DFT and have conducted research on neural networks with genetic algorithms for catalyst optimization during their postdoctoral work at the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Kanpur. Previously, Smita worked as a Chemical Modeller at Johnson Matthey, focusing on after treatment exhaust emissions control, and served as a Senior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Science Education & Research, Kolkata. They hold a Ph.D. in Theoretical Chemistry from IISER Kolkata and a Master's degree in Physical Sciences from West Bengal State University.
