Makambi Kinemo

Makambi Kinemo has a wealth of experience in business development and sales. Makambi began their career in 2016 as a Sales and Marketing Intern at Microsoft. In 2017, they joined Endeavour Africa Limited as a Sales Development Representative. In 2018, they moved to Biz-Logic Solutions Ltd, where they held the roles of Business Development Manager and Business Development Representative. In 2021, Kinemo joined Ontop, where they served as an Account Executive for both the EMEA and SSA regions. Most recently, they were hired as a Business Development Specialist at Curacel (YC W22) in 2022.

Makambi Kinemo is currently enrolled in a Marketing: Digital Technologies and Marketing Communications program at the Higher School of Economics, and is also participating in the Crossroads Emerging Leaders Program at Harvard University. Previously, Makambi Kinemo earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Technology from Zhejiang University of Technology between 2013 and 2017, and completed A-Levels at St. Constantine International School between 2011 and 2013. Additionally, Makambi Kinemo has obtained various certifications, including Legal Campus from Ontop in September 2022, Sales Foundations and Sales Discovery from LinkedIn in August 2022, Leading Virtual Meetings from LinkedIn in July 2022, YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa Program from the Young African Leadership Initiative in May 2021, Technology Entrepreneurship: Lab to Market from Harvard University in April 2021, Introduction to Cybersecurity and Introduction to IoT from Cisco in February 2021, and Civil Leadership from YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa in January 2020.
