Jan Carter

Jan Carter has an extensive work experience in the field of geriatric care. Jan started their career in 2003 as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner at Geriatric Associates of America, where they later became the Director of Clinical Services from 2005 to 2007. After that, they worked as a Nurse Practitioner at United Health Care from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, they joined Elite Patient Care as the Director of Clinical Development, where they developed standardized clinical guidelines and protocols for quality care in the subacute geriatric practice. Jan then became the Geriatric Nurse Practitioner/Owner at Hill Country Geriatric Care from 2008 to 2022. Recently, they have taken on the role of Director of Clinical Operations - Assisted and Independent Living-Texas at Curana Health starting in 2022.

Jan Carter has a Masters in Nursing with a specialization in Geriatric Nurse Practitioner from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston). Jan also holds a certification as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurse Credentialing Center.
