James Polfreman

James Polfreman is the current advisor at Curantis Solutions and the former President and CEO of Solis Mammography, which is the nation’s largest independent provider of screening and diagnostics for breast health. James served in this role from July 2011 to October 2019. During their time as President and CEO, they oversaw the combined operations of both wholly-owned centers and successful joint ventures with hospital partners such as HCA and University of Chicago.

Under James Polfreman’s leadership, Solis Mammography made many changes and updates that improved the company’s services. James conceptualized and authorized the creation of emailed mammography results in 24 to 48 hours, developed and implemented “Tablet Registration” so women could streamline check-in, and upgraded to 3D mammography (tomosynthesis) across the entire business – a $16+ million investment rolled out over the span of 24 months along with SmartCurve for a more comfortable experience. James also conceptualized and authorized the creation of real-time online scheduling to allow easier and more convenient patient scheduling.

Thanks to James Polfreman’s leadership, Solis Mammography saw significant growth. The company increased revenue by 250%+ and more than doubled the company’s footprint to 41 locations. There was also a 5-fold increase in bottom line EBITDA since 2011. Furthermore, Solis Mammography outpaced industry performance norms, year over year--spurred on by passionate dedication to imaging, patient-centric services, and exceptional business practices.

James Polfreman received their Masters in Business Administration from the University of Houston's C.T. Bauer College of Business, with a focus in finance. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science - Honors (Masters) in Engineering from the University of Natal in South Africa. James also holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Natal.
