Grant Russell's work experience begins in 2015 when they worked as a Biorobotics Research Intern at UC Irvine, where they created a low-cost rehabilitation system for stroke patients. Grant used a Microsoft Kinect to track arm movements and developed a virtual rehabilitation game to increase patient motivation.
In 2015, Grant also worked as a Design Engineer for the e-Nable Project, designing and developing assistive devices for those in need.
In 2016, Grant served as a Software Engineering Intern at UC Irvine.
In 2017, they worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Luminar Technologies, where they improved lane-tracking and object detection models using sensor fusion between 2D and 3D data.
In 2018, they interned as a Watson Deep Learning Engineer at IBM and later as a Machine Learning Intern at X, the moonshot factory.
In 2019, Grant worked as a Virtual Human Interaction Lab Researcher at Stanford University and later as a Machine Learning Intern at X, the moonshot factory.
Most recently, in 2021, Grant co-founded Curate and became its CEO.
Grant Russell has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (AI Track) from Stanford University, which they obtained between 2016 and 2020. Grant is also currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Computer Science (AI Track) at Stanford University, but is on leave for the period of 2020 to 2021.
