Andrew Amata

Dr. Amata serves as a Consultant Anesthesiologist at CURE Zambia. Prior to joining CURE, he served in Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies. Over the years, Dr. Amata has served in a variety of locations including Guyana, Kenya, United States, Nigeria, United Kingdom, and Burkina Faso. He holds a postgraduate diploma in anesthesiology from the University of Benin in Nigeria and completed fellowships in pediatric anesthesiology at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC; in pain management at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio; and traditional Chinese medicine from Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. In 2006, he board certified with the American Board of Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
