Chisomo Shawa

Dr. Shawa, a Zambian, serves as an Orthopedic Surgeon at Beit CURE Children’s Hospital Zambia. Previously, Dr. Shawa has worked at Senenga General Hospital, Kitwe Teaching Hospital, and Lusaka’s University Teaching Hospital and served at various mission hospitals in Zambia under FLYSPEC, providing orthopedic and trauma care. He holds three Masters degrees, the first from the University of Edinburgh in Surgical Sciences, the second from the University of Zambia in Orthopedics and Trauma, and a third from the University of Lusaka in Public Health. He is a member of COSECSA completing a fellowship in orthopedics in December 2022 and is looking forward to completing his MBA in Financial Management in February 2023.

Dr. Shawa is excited about how CURE incorporates God and the Christian faith into the management of patients and works to bring healing to children who heal fast and are still growing.
