Joseph Theuri

Dr. Theuri serves as the Medical Director of CURE Kenya. He joined CURE immediately after his medical internship in Kijabe in January 1998 and completed on-the-job training in corrective surgery for children with physical disabilities for three years. In 2000, he was sponsored by CURE to pursue a degree in orthopedics at Makerere University, Uganda, where he graduated in 2003. He is now a fellow COSECSA and has returned to Kijabe. He has been working as an orthopedic surgeon at CURE Kenya ever since.

Dr. Theuri helped to start the Clubfoot Care project for Kenya in 2005 and is the current director of this program. He is involved in leadership at the AIC Kijabe Local Church and is also a children’s Sunday school teacher.
