Levent Kandemir

Data Scientist at CUREosity

Levent Kandemir is a data scientist at CUREosity. Levent previously worked as a research and development engineer at FİGES Engineering from May 2014 to April 2018. During their time at FİGES Engineering, they designed and developed the Bionic Hand and the Direct Metal Laser Melting Machine. Levent also coordinated the mechanical and electronic design of both projects and provided key contributions. Levent showcased both projects at the International Defense Fair in 2017 and obtained ethics approval to test the Bionic Hand on patients. Levent also managed the Control Design and Automation Team consisting of Biomedical, Mechanical, and Mechatronics engineers. Levent supervised the conceptualization of Turkey's first exoskeleton project and acquired state funding.

Levent Kandemir has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Düsseldorf, a Master of Science in Medical Informatics from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Baskent University. Levent also attended Ankara Atatürk Lisesi and the International School of Naples.
