Albert Weber

Mr. Albert Weber has more than 30 years of corporate finance experience including 20+ years in the molecular diagnostics industry. Prior to his appointment as OpGen’s CFO, Mr. Weber was the Executive Vice President Finance, an executive board member/ executive officer at Epigenomics AG, a publicly listed molecular diagnostic company based in Berlin/ Germany and San Diego, CA. At Epigenomics he was involved in numerous equity and debt financing transactions. Mr. Weber also oversaw the operational and financial aspects of the commercial launches of molecular diagnostics products via direct sales teams in the U.S. and Europe as well as via partners in China. Further, he has been involved in several strategic partnerships, licensing deals with global diagnostic corporations, and multiple M&A processes over the years. Prior to his time with Epigenomics, Mr. Weber served several years as controller and corporate accounting manager in various industries. He has a degree in Business Administration from Cologne University and is certified in international accounting.
