Dr. Huan Wang

Dr. Huan Wang is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in microbiology and antibiotic drug discovery. Currently serving as a Clinical Application Specialist at Curetis GmbH since March 2022, Dr. Wang focuses on providing support and training to customers, while also addressing scientific aspects relevant to product positioning and sales. Previously, Dr. Wang held positions as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Evotec, where expertise in antibiotic drug development was cultivated, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Tübingen, investigating the mode of action of novel antibiotics. Dr. Wang's earlier experience includes roles at 3M as a Senior Technical Service Microbiologist and Senior Clinical Microbiologist, where contributions included food pathogen detection, technical troubleshooting, and clinical trial support for antimicrobial products. Dr. Wang holds a PhD in Microbial and Eukaryotic Genetics from the University of Tübingen and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Glasgow.
