Dr. Gary Stallings is an Associate Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College and an Attending Physician at the University Hospital at Westchester Medical Center, the Academic Medical Center of New York Medical College. He is recognized by his peers and residents as a charismatic attending who is passionate about teaching and widely admired for his unique and exciting approach to teaching medicine. As a Hospitalist Educator, Dr. Stallings is able to inspire and instill the art and science of medicine in his residents and students. Soon after joining the New York Medical College in 2008, he was appointed as Assistant Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency. He quickly rose through the ranks to become the Senior Associate Director of the Residency program and Site Director for the third-year medicine clerkship. Dr. Stallings is recognized for his outstanding teaching talents and dedication to the students of New York Medical College. Dr. Stallings received his MD and MPH from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was elected as Chief Resident of the Internal Medicine Residency Program following Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Stallings' experience during the rebuilding of New Orleans and Tulane and University hospitals has given him a unique perspective and approach to the many challenges faced daily in the field of internal medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Stallings spends time with his wife, Dr. Alison Stallings, a Dermatologist in Tarrytown, NY, family, and friends. When he is not at work or with his family, he is likely on his mountain bike in the beautiful woods of Westchester.
