Dr. Philipp Bastian

Dr. Philipp Bastian has extensive experience in alliance management and business development. Dr. Philipp is currently the Director Alliance Management at CureVac, a position they have held since October 2022. Prior to that, they were the Group Manager Alliance Management at BERLIN-CHEMIE Menarini from April 2019 to October 2022. Dr. Philipp also served as the Senior Alliance Manager at BERLIN-CHEMIE AG from May 2019 to April 2022. Before joining BERLIN-CHEMIE Menarini, Dr. Bastian was the Head of Business Development at xbird GmbH from December 2018 to April 2019. Dr. Philipp previously worked as the Alliance Manager at BERLIN-CHEMIE AG from November 2013 to November 2018. Dr. Bastian started their career as a Business Analyst at Accenture from October 2007 to January 2009.

Dr. Philipp Bastian completed their education in Biochemistry from 2002 to 2007 at Universität Witten/Herdecke, earning a Dr. rer. nat. degree.
