Kate Bailey

Kate Bailey has a diverse work experience in the field of business development and scientific research. Kate is currently the Director of Business Development at CureVac since February 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Business Development at SQZ Biotechnologies from May 2021 to February 2023. Kate was also a Senior Associate at Destum Partners, Inc from August 2014 to May 2021. In terms of their scientific research experience, they worked as a Scientific Intern at the Moffitt Cancer Center from July 2013 to July 2014. Kate also pursued their doctoral studies at the Moffitt Cancer Center, specializing in tumor microenvironment manipulation and non-histone HDAC interactions. Before that, Kate worked as an Undergraduate Research Associate at the University of Florida, where they gained proficiency in x-ray crystallography techniques.

Kate Bailey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida in 2007. Kate then pursued a PhD in Cancer Biology at the University of South Florida, completing their studies in 2014. Alongside their education, Kate obtained certifications in Clinical Trials Workshop and Bioethics for Researchers from the Moffitt Cancer Center in 2012 and 2011, respectively.
