Markus Zettl

Markus Zettl is an experienced professional in the field of oncology research and development, currently serving as Vice President of Oncology R&D at CureVac since October 2021. Prior to this role, Markus Zettl held various positions at Pieris Pharmaceuticals from July 2017 to October 2021, culminating in the title of Senior Director of Immuno-Oncology. Earlier in Markus Zettl's career, positions included Laboratory Head at Boehringer Ingelheim RCV GmbH & Co KG from May 2011 to July 2017 and Research Fellow at the Medical Research Council from April 2004 to April 2011. Markus Zettl holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cell Biology and Biochemistry from EMBL and University College London (1999-2004) and a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from The University of Graz, Austria (1993-1999).
