Greg Danko

Software Engineer II at Curie AI

Greg Danko is a software engineer with experience in a variety of research and programming roles. Greg began their career in 2013 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh, where they learned various sterile cell culture and electrophysiological techniques. In 2014, they moved to George Washington University as a Laboratory Assistant, where they used the vestibular system of the chick to study vestibular phenomena in humans. In 2017, they became a Lab Technician at Georgetown University Medical Center, where they spearheaded a developmental toxicity study characterizing the effects of anticonvulsants on the rat brain. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at Nura Bio as a Senior Research Associate and Research Associate II, building programs to maximize the efficiency of data processing and minimize human error in support of drug discovery efforts. Currently, they are employed as a Software Engineer at CurieAi, and in 2021 they were a General Assembly Software Engineering Fellow, where they created a MERN stack application that allows users to create and maintain an electronic lab notebook.

Greg Danko attended the University of Pittsburgh from 2010 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience with a Minor in Chemistry and a Minor in Greg'story. From 2014 to 2016, they attended The George Washington University and earned a Master's Degree in Anatomical and Translational Sciences. In 2021, they obtained a Certificate in Software Engineering Immersive from General Assembly.
