Tan, Kok Siang has worked for six different companies over the course of their career. Tan, started their career at Philips Singapore Pte Ltd in 1994 as a Lead Electrical Engineer. In 1996, they moved to Philips Consumer Electronics as a Director, Platform Architect and Digital TV Function Manager. In 2008, they were promoted to Director - Snr System Architect and achieved the Y2010 Philips Consumer Life Style Business Improvement Competition "Innovation" Category award. In 2012, they moved to TPVision Singapore Pte Ltd as Director, Architecture and Requirements. In 2016, they joined Cell ID Pte Ltd as GM, Operations, Head Of R&D and Mfg Engineer/Manager. Tan, was responsible for managing the medical devices roll-out and fulfilment of orders, pioneering the product realization of first-of-its-kind innovative molecular IVD medical products, and pioneering the setup, testing and commissioning a first-of-its-kind automation machine for the company's new innovative immunoassay products. Tan, was also responsible for setting up the design verification and validation SOPs and the Institutional Biosafety Committee. In 2022, they moved to Curiox Biosystems as Senior Director, Technology.
Tan, Kok Siang completed a B. Eng (Hons) in Control & Instrumentation Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore from 1991 to 1994. Tan, then pursued a Master of Technology in Software Engineering from National University of Singapore from 2000 to 2003. In 2017, they completed a ISO 14971 Risk Assessment: IVD/CE Mark from EMERGO. Tan, Kok Siang is currently enrolled in the WSQ Professional BioRisk Management program at National University of Singapore, which they are expected to complete in 2021.
