Frikk Fossan

Frikk Fossan has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and engineering. Frikk is currently serving as the Co-Founder and CTO at Curipod since December 2020. Prior to this, Frikk worked as a Software Engineer at Cognite AS from June 2019 to December 2020, where they played a key role in building the InField application for offshore field workers. This application was recognized with the red dot design award.

Before joining Cognite AS, Frikk worked as a Consulting Software Engineer at Acando Norge from February 2018 to May 2019. During their tenure, they contributed to various projects including the digitalization of Norway's public transport services for Entur and the Department for E-health. Frikk was responsible for developing customer backend services, ensuring GDPR compliance, and migrating infrastructure to large-scale Kafka and Kubernetes systems.

From August 2016 to February 2018, Frikk worked at Copro Live as a Software Developer and SharePoint Consultant. Here, they helped transition the company from a SharePoint-based product to a modern web-based product. Frikk developed a new version of the product using Node.js and Angular 2, implemented modern DevOps practices, and streamlined bug detection and delivery speed.

Frikk Fossan has a bachelor's degree in Informatics: Design, use, and interaction from the University of Oslo (UiO), which they obtained from 2014 to 2016. During the same period, they also pursued a professional education in User Experience and Interaction Design from The Interaction Design Foundation. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2014, Frikk attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) where they studied Datateknikk. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including one in Machine Learning from Coursera Course Certificates in September 2018 and three Microsoft certifications in various IT-related disciplines, obtained in February 2018 and September 2016.
