Tim Lewis has extensive experience in the tech and research industries. Tim began their career in 2011 as a McNair Scholar and Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they studied under the leadership of Brent Roberts, Ph.D. and Aaron Benjamin, Ph.D. in the Personality Assessment and Development Lab and the Human Memory and Cognition Lab, respectively. Tim also held roles as a Resident Advisor and Campus Recreation Program Assistant, managing event space rentals and planning events while managing a staff of 20+ student workers.
In 2013, Tim began working at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business as a Behavioral Science Researcher in the Center for Decision Research with Professors Oleg Urminsky, Ph.D. and Ayelet Fishbach, Ph.D. Tim also served as a Lead Intern for Community Initiatives at the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago.
Tim co-founded The Natural Hair Academy Inc. in 2013, where they served as CTO and Co-Founder. Tim was responsible for creating the Social Network for Naturals, a one-stop shop for all things Natural Hair.
In 2015, Tim co-founded CurlMix and has served as CTO and Co-Founder since. Most recently, they co-founded Listener Brands in 2021 and serves as CTO and Co-Founder.
Tim Lewis attended Central Methodist University from 2009 to 2010, where they studied International Business - Economics with a minor in Biology. Tim then attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2010 to 2014.
