Barbara Curran-Steiner has a long and varied career in the finance and marketing fields. Barbara began their career in 1992 with Eli Lilly Switzerland as a Medical Sales Representative and then moved into Market Research and New Product Planning roles. In 1999, they were promoted to Business Unit Manager, taking on full profit and loss responsibility for sales and marketing. In 2004, they moved to Curran, a high-end, web-based home furnishings company, where they served as Vice President / Director of Finance and HR. In 2009, they joined the board of Seattle Area German American (SAGA) School, where they were responsible for parent liaison, parent volunteer resources, facility move, fundraising and outreach. In 2010, they joined the board of Continentalclub Berghaus as Head of Membership, where they were responsible for maintaining the Berg Haus, a private club and home base for a number of winter and year round outdoor activities.
Barbara Curran-Steiner attended HEC Lausanne - The Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne from 1988 to 1991, where they earned a lic oec in Business Administration. Barbara also attended Büelrain, but did not obtain any degree or certification.
