Markus Jirmann

Markus Jirmann is the General Manager of Operations for Power Plants and Common Facilities at Currenta GmbH & Co. OHG, a position held since April 2017. Prior to this, Jirmann served as Werksleiter at RÜTGERS Germany GmbH from September 2014 to March 2017, focusing on operational excellence, capital expenditure, and organizational restructuring. Jirmann's earlier experience includes leading production teams at SABIC Polyolefine GmbH in various roles, where significant improvements in quality, volume, and cost were achieved. Additionally, Jirmann was responsible for plant engineering and technical services, and managed environmental technology at GEA Wärme- und Umwelttechnik. Jirmann began the professional career as a process engineer at Henkel KGaA. Jirmann holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Chemical Engineering from TU Dortmund University, obtained in 1992.
