Candy Rodo has extensive work experience in the field of marketing and product development. Candy started their career in 1997 as an Editor at McGraw-Hill Education and later worked as a Senior Editor at Pearson Education. At Pearson Education, they coordinated the production of various educational programs and served as a liaison with other departments. In 2003, they joined D5C Design 5 Creatives as a Senior Editor. In 2005, they became the Executive Director at Curriculum Concepts International, where they eventually moved up to the role of Vice President of Marketing and Product Development. Candy held this position until 2020 when they became the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Development. Candy also worked as a Contributing Reporter at La Vanguardia and held the position of Director of Communications and Public Relations at New Vistas in Education.

Candy Rodo has a Bachelor of Sciences of Communication degree in Journalism, Marketing and Advertising, and Public Relations from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, which they obtained from 1985 to 1990. Candy also holds a Certificate of American Studies from the Institute of North American Studies, where they studied Literature, History, English, Anthropology, and Sociology from 1985 to 1994. Additionally, Candy completed a screenwriting program at New York University's School of Continuing Education from 1994 to 1995. In 2020, they obtained a European Certification for Digital Teaching --Presenter from Oxford Education LIT.
