Michael Sweeney

Mike Sweeney joined Curry Real Estate Services in 2001 and currently serves as senior vice president in the commercial real estate division. In this position, Sweeney manages the sales, leasing, asset/property management for office, retail, mixed use, and industrial for both company-owned and investor-owned properties.

Sweeney has more than 35 years of experience in commercial real estate. Prior to joining Curry, he worked for the J.C. Nichols Company where he was responsible for its two largest retail properties, the Country Club Plaza (1.2 million square feet) and Prairie Village Shopping Center (400,000 square feet).

Sweeney is a licensed REALTOR® in both Kansas and Missouri and received his certified property management (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management in 1984. In 2013 he was recognized by the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® for his top performance in retail commercial real estate.

Sweeney earned a Bachelor of Arts at Westminster College in Fulton, Mo.

He is a Kansas City Royal Lancer and enjoys playing softball and racquetball. He and his wife, have two grown children.
