David Clunes Sr.

David Clunes Sr. has an extensive work experience spanning over 35 years. David began their career in 1984 as a Software Engineer at Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, where they were part of a 9 person team tasked with creating a cutting edge hardware and software solution for remote/in-country language translation capabilities. In 1987, they joined Resource & Financial Management Systems, Inc. as a Product Developer. In this role, they wore many hats including strategic product development, software development, sales, systems implementation and training, and client business support. David was also responsible for leading the effort to expand electronic commerce in the industry down to the retail level. In 1991, they founded Island Software, Inc. and in 1996, they founded Island Technology, Inc., where they provided data solutions, reporting & analytics, and resourcing. In 2000, they became the Director of Customer Training & Education at cManagement Corporation, a startup created to bring large scale construction estimating software from Germany to the U.S. In 2006, they became the President & CEO of The Encima Group, Inc. In 2011, they founded Island Realty, LLC and became its Managing Member. In 2018, they Co-Founded 24 Hr Truck Services LLC and became a Board Member. Most recently, in 2019, they Co-Founded Curucaye, LLC, a business operations support services for SMBs.

David Clunes Sr. attended Brooklyn Technical High School from 1978 to 1981, where they earned a High School degree in Architecture. David then attended Control Data Institute from 1981 to 1982 for Computer Programming.
