Maria Teresa Lobato is a highly experienced team leader in microfluidics, currently working at Curve Therapeutics since November 2019. Prior experience includes roles at CENIMAT|i3N as a senior scientist and researcher, where responsibilities involved the fabrication of microdevices for DNA amplification and coaching undergraduate students. Additional research roles at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna focused on testing material resistance to radiation for X-ray detectors and included independent electrical characterization and analysis. Maria Teresa's academic background features a PhD in Advanced Manufacturing and Neuroscience from the University of Nottingham and an integrated master's degree in Micro and Nanotechnology Engineering from Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa.

Our Microcycle® platform enables direct screening for biologically active hits inside mammalian cells and creates a toolkit for hit-to-lead programmes. We are deploying our innovative platform to build a pipeline of first-in-class small molecules to address high priority, therapeutically relevant cancer targets.
