Jim Carlsen

Jim Carlsen has a diverse work experience in the technology and equipment rental industry. Jim served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Custom Truck One Source, where they led the implementation of a best of breed architecture and integrated all systems onto a common ERP/MRP residing in the cloud. Prior to this, they worked at Hertz for over two decades in various technology roles, including Vice President Information Technology/Division CIO and Senior Director Information Technology, Business Partner/Division CIO. During their tenure at Hertz, they played a key role in transforming technology applications and infrastructure, implementing new ERP, HR, and other systems required for business operations. Jim also led the migration of infrastructure to the cloud and developed various mobile applications and logistics systems. Furthermore, Carlsen has extensive experience in process improvement and re-engineering, as well as branch management and sales in the equipment rental sector.

Jim Carlsen attended California State University, Chico from 1982 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Business Administration and Management, General.
