Dr. Dirk Abendroth

Dr. Dirk Abendroth began their most recent role as the CEO of CUSTOMCELLS® in May 2022. From July 2021 to April 2022, they served as the CTO of Team Global and the CEO of a startup in stealth mode. Prior to that, they were the CTO Automotive at Continental from January 2019 to June 2021. From July 2016 to December 2018, they held the position of VP Autonomous Driving & Powertrain at BYTON. Dr. Abendroth's work experience also includes roles at BMW Group, where they served as the Head of BMWi Powertrain from June 2014 to June 2016 and as a Manager and Engineer in Powertrain & SW from June 2004 to June 2014.

Dr. Dirk Abendroth obtained their Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Elektrotechnik, Elektronik und Kommunikationstechnik/Techniker from Hamburg University of Technology in the years 1995 to 2000. Dr. Dirk further pursued their education at the same university, earning their Dr.-Ing. degree in Digitale Kommunikation und Medien/Multimedien from 2000 to 2004.
