Jen Dunlap

Jen Dunlap has a diverse work experience in the fields of software engineering and quality assurance. Jen currently works as a Software Engineer at Customer.io, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this role, they were a QA Engineer (SDET) at the same company from 2021 to 2022. In this role, they designed and created test scripts using Python and Pytest and was responsible for various testing activities such as regression testing, performance testing, and security testing.

Before joining Customer.io, Jen worked at WSECU from 2018 to 2021. Jen held multiple roles in the company, including Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (SDET), Software Developer, Quality Assurance Automation Analyst, and Digital Testing Specialist. In these roles, they gained experience in designing and creating test scripts using C# and/or JavaScript, conducting testing at the service layer, participating in code reviews, and coaching other employees in automation efforts.

Prior to WSECU, Jen worked at SCJ Alliance as a Help Desk Specialist from 2016 to 2018. Jen also gained experience at Lightspeed HQ, where they held various positions such as QA Analyst, Level II Support Specialist, and Customer Support from 2013 to 2016.

Jen Dunlap completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Software Development from WGU Washington in 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Social Sciences from Washington State University from 2011 to 2013. In 2010, they attended Pacific Lutheran University, where they studied Communication, General, but did not earn a degree. Additionally, Jen holds several certifications including CompTIA Project+, CIW Advanced HTML5 and CSS3 Specialist, CIW: Site Development Associate, Agile Tester (CTFL-AT), Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), Certified Scrum Master, CompTIA A+, and Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competency (CPACC).
