Anna-Lena Murphy-Dittrich has a diverse work experience that spans multiple companies and roles. Anna-Lena started their career as a Student Research Assistant at Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2013. Anna-Lena then pursued a PhD at Newcastle University, where they investigated HER2 alternative splice variants and their potential links to breast cancer prognosis.

After completing their PhD, Anna-Lena joined Leica Biosystems as an Intern in September 2016, and later became a R&D Scientist in January 2017. Anna-Lena excelled in these roles and was promoted to Senior Scientist in September 2018. During their time at Leica Biosystems, they led a team of scientists in developing a US class III product component and established standard work for cell line based product development.

In 2019, Anna-Lena joined CUTISS AG as an Automation Specialist/Assistant Program Leader Automated Tissue Engineering. Their responsibilities included developing automated manufacturing solutions for the large-scale production of autologous skin grafts. Anna-Lena also acted as the deputy program leader, managing project organization and research while focusing on quality and regulatory considerations.

Advancing in their career, Anna-Lena became a Senior Automation Specialist/Project Manager at CUTISS AG in December 2020. In this role, they managed tech transfer and GMP certification projects, served as a people manager, and led senior scientist teams in bioreactors, tissue engineering, and process development.

Most recently, Anna-Lena assumed the position of Associate Research Manager at CUTISS AG in September 2021. In this capacity, they took on the role of project leader for process development and tech transfer of automated cell expansion. Anna-Lena also led the development and packaging of a closed system 3D culture, which was included in a Phase III clinical trial.

Anna-Lena Murphy-Dittrich completed their education in a chronological order. Anna-Lena started their academic journey at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Applied Biology from 2008 to 2011.
