Atul Sharma is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in policy analysis and renewable energy. Currently serving as an Assistant Policy Analyst at CUTS International since June 2024, Atul previously held the position of Policy Officer at Vasudha Foundation India from March 2023 to May 2024. Prior roles include Team Leader at Fusion Business Solutions (P) Limited and Regal Outsource (India) Private Limited, and Head of Business Development at Shubhada Power Solutions. Atul's career in renewable energy began as a Renewable Energy Engineer at Vivaan Solar, and also includes experience as a Research Trainee at the National Institute of Solar Energy, where research focused on solar module technologies. Beginning a professional journey as a Site Engineer at Adamas Solar Pvt Ltd, Atul has successfully managed and executed numerous solar projects. Atul holds a Master of Technology in Renewable Energy from UPES and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Sir Padampat Singhania University.

CUTS International (Consumer Unity & Trust Society) began its journey in 1983 in Rajasthan, from a rural development communication initiative, a wall newspaper Gram Gadar (Village Revolution). This monthly is published regularly and has been instrumental in providing a forum for the oppressed classes to get justice. On seeing Gram Gadar, Rubens Ricupero, the immediate past Secretary-General of UNCTAD observed: “It confirmed my view that often the simple lack of awareness lies at the root of so much misery”.
