Derek Gruter is a highly experienced quality technician with a robust background in the brewing and spirits industry. Currently serving as Quality Technician III/Lead at Cutwater Spirits since April 2021, Derek previously held the position of QC Supervisor at Karl Strauss Brewing Company from February 2018 to August 2020. Prior experience includes roles at Stone Brewing Co. where duties encompassed Quality Assurance Analyst, QA Technician, and QA Assistant from February 2013 to February 2018. Earlier in career development, Derek contributed as a Research Assistant at the University of Southern California in 2011-2012 and in 2006. Academically, Derek obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Biostatistics and Epidemiology and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry, both from the University of Southern California.
