Patrick Nelson has a diverse work experience in the field of design and art direction. Patrick is currently working as a Senior Art Director at Cutwater since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Studio Artist at tricksf.com from September 2020 to December 2022. Patrick also had freelance positions at Stitch Fix as a Designer from June 2019 to September 2020, Catch&Release, Inc. as a Graphic Designer from July 2018 to September 2020, Branch as a Graphic Designer from June 2018 to November 2018, and MUH-TAY-ZIK | HOF-FER as a Designer from October 2017 to November 2017. In addition, Patrick worked as a Freelance Designer at DesignStudio from June 2017 to August 2017. Patrick has also served as an Art Director at Sparks from February 2018 to May 2018, where they worked on event branding and visual identity for Google Next 18'. Prior to that, they held the position of Art Director at Mekanism from March 2015 to April 2017, where they directed and designed advertising campaigns for clients like Virgin America and The North Face. Patrick started their career as a Senior Graphic Designer at Butchershop Creative from October 2012 to November 2014.
Patrick Nelson attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2005 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design. In 2011, they enrolled in the MFA program at the Academy of Art University and completed their studies in Graphic Design in 2012.
