Dawn Decarlo

Dawn DeCarlo, RHIT, CCS, currently serves as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Cuyahoga Community College, focusing on effective classroom instruction and syllabus management. Since July 2016, DeCarlo has been an Inpatient Coding Educator at University Hospitals, showcasing expertise in APG, EAPG,, and regulatory edits while training and monitoring employees. Previously held roles at University Hospitals include Senior Coding Specialist - Inpatient, with responsibilities for accurate coding and record review, and Inpatient Coding Quality Analyst, focusing on timely coding and education of rules. Additionally, DeCarlo works as a tutor with Grade Potential Tutoring and has experience in customer service from a prior position at Heinen's Grocery Store. Dawn DeCarlo earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Healthcare from Southern New Hampshire University and an Associate of Science in Health Information Management from Cuyahoga Community College.
