Bo Truett

Bo Truett, Director of Finance of CMHA, is a finance professional that brings over 30 years of accounting experience in both private and public sectors. Truett joined CMHA in 1999, and since March of 2021, he has led a staff of 25 and oversees the Authority’s $225 million operating budget comprised of both federal and state grants. He manages the Authority’s accounting, finance, payroll, treasury and audit functions along with multiple audit firm relationships for financial and compliance audits to ensure proper policies, internal controls and reporting results are in place. Prior to his promotion to Director of Finance, Truett has held multiple positions at CMHA throughout his 21-year tenure including, most recently, Deputy Director of Finance as well as serving as Interim Chief Financial Officer, Deputy CFO and Special Assistant to the CFO. Before coming to CMHA, Truett served as the Corporate Finance Manager for a multi-campus, multi–state private business college overseeing functions of accounting, audit, payroll, finance, treasury, insurance and compliance. Truett received an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Commonwealth College and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Truett is a graduate of the 16th class of Cleveland State University’s Leadership Academy.
