Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM)
Marlene Nathans has extensive experience in the nursing field, currently serving as a registered nurse (RN) at Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) since April 2016. Marlene has also been actively volunteering with the Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania since September 2005 and was a board member of the Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Board to the Pennsylvania Department of Health from 2008 to September 2019. Previously, Marlene worked as a certified school nurse within the Marple Newtown School District from September 1989 to June 2004, covering Cardinal O'Hara High School and Paxon Hollow Middle School, and as a staff nurse at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia from July 1985 to August 1989. Marlene holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Villanova University (1994-1996) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Neumann University (1980-1985).

Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM)
CVIM is a community-based, volunteer nonprofit organization providing quality, coordinated medical and dental care to low income, working people in the Chester County region without insurance, enabling them to continue to be contributing members of the community. The program is designed to provide services for those individuals whose income is at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty guidelines and are not eligible for Medical Assistance, Medicare, VA benefits or the Children’s Health Insurance Program. CVIM welcomes clients without discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, marital status, age, sexual orientation, handicap, or ability to pay for health care services.
