Skip Kinford

Regarded as a subject matter expert and leader in the transportation technology field, Skip has a passion for customer service and operational excellence as well as a wealth of management experience. In his role as CEO, Skip brings his proven capability to drive the successful global operations of logistics-focused technology companies.

Skip joined CVO in October 2019; he has an extensive background in leadership roles that include CEO of the Americas for MiX Telematics (NYSE-MIXT), CEO of Zed Connect (Cummins CMI-NYSE) and CEO of North America for Mobileye (now part of Intel NASDQ-INTC). Skip has been part of the historic rise of the utilization of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and other technologies that have transformed the industry for transportation applications.

At CVO, Skip plays a fundamental role in supporting and strengthening the company’s foundational pillars. Skip works closely with his Senior Leadership team to create an environment that inspires and rewards creativity, where working with efficiency is critical and performance is results-driven, and every customer interaction is handled with care and diligence.

Skip is a former member of the Automotive Technology Board of the Consumer Electronics Association and a member of the Specialty Equipment Market Association. He also sits on two steering committees in Washington DC, which focus on transportation technology.

Skip spent the first decade of his career as a professional race car driver. He is the first to credit his success on his teammates as well as the endless support of his best friend of more than 45 years, his wife Karen. Skip and Karen have two amazing children, one a doctor (Human) and one about to be a doctor (Animal).
