Barry Klein

Mr. Klein has practiced architecture for 28 years and, today, leads CVR’s inspections operations, including managing inspections for the past ten years for Miami-Dade County’s 15,000-voucher HCV program. In this capacity, he streamlined procedures and brought the once-troubled inspections department into SEMAP compliance within one year of his hiring. Mr. Klein enhanced CVR’s inspection services to include UPCS inspections managing projects in multiple locations including Miami-Dade and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

In addition, Mr. Klein provides technical assistance for PHA Inspection Department reviews, on-site HQS training, and construction quality assurance for multiple development projects throughout the Caribbean. Prior to his inspections work, Mr. Klein operated an architectural firm with projects ranging from offices, warehouses, and distribution centers throughout the U.S., as well as sustainable communities and historic renovations of hotels and houses. He has also served on several governance boards reviewing applications for CDBG and HOME funds, historic preservation review, and economic development.

He holds a bachelor of architecture degree from Florida A&M University and NCARB certification.
